Sophomores and Freshmen
I will visit your class in the spring to work on Personal Learning Plans. This is a great time to ask questions about required classes and plan out a schedule for the upcoming year. You can also stop in to visit with me any time!

Select Dakota
Select Dakota is a site that provides information on South Dakota colleges and vocational schools, what degrees are available, how to pay for college, advice for middle school students, high school students, and parents.

SD My Life

SDMyLife is a site that is available to all South Dakota students. You have completed personality assessments, career cruising, a personal learning plan, and much more. There are also free ACT prep resources on the site, resume building, college information, and an occasional contest. Lost your log-in information? Stop in and see me!

High School Requirements
High school graduation requirements. Remember each school also has it's own additional requirements and number of minimum credits to graduate.

Financial Aid (FAFSA)
Free financial aid application for students. This is where you file your federal financial aid form. It is completely free and a good place to start the financial planning for post-secondary school. You need your previous year's tax return, so for a student attending college in fall 2013, you will not be able to apply until January 2013. The earlier you apply the better your chances at receiving grants if you qualify. However, you will need to apply for a PIN number before you apply.

IHELP student loans
A low-interest private loan when scholarships, federal money, and other funds will not cover expenses.

March 2 Success
March 2 success in another tool for ACT prep. It offers an entire prep test for no cost. Also see Mrs. Stevens for an ACT practice booklet.
